Viktor Frešo

From Hero To Zero

FSUP - Castel Prostejov

Viktor Frešo (1974) is one of the most prominent figures in contemporary art after 2000 in the region of the former Czechoslovakia. His distinctive work reflects current social and cultural developments, while also drawing on historical events and personal or family archives. The artist creates sophisticated conceptual projects in which he often works with humor, exaggeration, and irony, and is interested in direct and effective visual means capable of provoking an immediate response in the viewer. He also engages with posthumanist art, which explores the connection between the body and technology.

At the exhibition at Prostějov Castle, he presents works inspired by childhood memories, which he combines with his distinctive artistic approach.
